9 Day Exciting Uganda Wildlife Safari
This exciting Wildlife Safari in Uganda includes a visit to its major tourist sites which include Murchison Falls National Park in the North western part popularly known for its wide range of different Wildlife species plus its great Murchison falls, Queen Elizabeth National Park located in South Western part popularly known for its Wide range of different Wild life species including the famous tree climbing lions which are found in the Ishasha sector.
Other Park to go is Bwindi impenetrable National Park in the South western part which is popularly known for hosting wide range of species of shy endangered ground dwelling herbivore Mountain Gorillas.
Popular activities done on this Uganda experience include Gorilla trekking, Rhino tracking, Game drives, launch trip cruise, chimpanzee tracking, Batwa visit, and Nature walks.
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
On the day of arrival our safari guide will pick you from Entebbe airport and transfer up to your hotel of residence in Kampala using suitable 4×4 wheel drive Safari jeep, check in for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park.
After breakfast early in the morning, our Safari guide will pick you at the hotel and start the exciting journey from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park via Kampala- Masindi- Gulu highway including en route stopover in Nakitoma- Nakasongola district for Rhinoceros in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Rhino tracking usually takes a period of about one hour and after continue with the journey to Murchison. Lunch is provided en route in Masindi town or if not you can have it in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary before leaving.
Reaching Murchison Falls National Park, check in at the lodge and relax a bit after a long journey as you prepare for the hike up to the top of the falls to view the natural beauty of these falls plus views of other areas in Murchison Falls National Park.
After the exciting hike return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay, accommodation options include Red Chilli Rest Camp, Fort Murchison or Paraa Safari Lodge.
Day 3: Game drive & Launch trip cruise in Murchison.
Early in the morning after breakfast the driver will pick you and embark the jeep for morning game drive around the major hotspots in the Park exposing you to different Wildlife species like Wild animals including elephants, lions, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, giraffes, waterbucks, hippos, leopards, bird species, reptiles and more.
After a 2-3 hours game drive return to the lodge for lunch as you prepare for the launch trip cruise from top of falls to the bottom.
Launch trip cruise along waters of Murchison falls is so amazing in that it grants you opportunities of sighting different aquatic species which include hippopotamus, crocodiles, species of Water birds plus different wild animals which are sighted along the banks. After the exciting launch trip cruise head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast in the morning, drive Southwest through Fort portal and Albertine Escarpment of Western Rift Valley from Murchison Falls National Park. Lunch is provided enroute at Mountains of the Moon Hotel found in Fort Portal town.
After lunch in Fort portal continue to Mweya peninsula in Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a wonderful game drive on your way to Mweya Safari Lodge. Check in for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Game drive & Boat cruise in Queen.
After breakfast in the morning, have a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains exposing you to different Wildlife species within the Park particularly Wild animals like lions, buffaloes, antelope species, leopards, waterbucks, elephants, hippos and warthogs.
After 3-4 hours game drive head back to lodge or Mweya Canteen for lunch as you get prepared for the afternoon boat cruise along Kazinga Channel. Diner and Overnight stay at Mweya Hostel, Mweya Safari Lodge, Katara lodge, Buffalo Safari lodge or Bush lodge.
Day 6: Chimp tracking in Kyambura Gorge.
Early in the morning have breakfast at the lodge and after drive up to Kyambura gorge for the chimpanzee tracking session letting you meet with the Chimpanzee primates face to face in the Jungle.
After you can also do a forest walk in Maramagambo forest to explore the bat caves as you look for pythons which feed on these bats. Diner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge, Jacana Safari Lodge, Katara lodge, Buffalo Safari lodge or Bush lodge.
Day 7: Transfer from Queen to Bwindi via Ishasha Sector.
Early in morning after breakfast, check out at the lodge for the exciting journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha sector route granting you chances of sighting the famous and mostly wanted tree climbing lions resting up in the big fig tree branches, lunch is provided enroute.
Reaching Bwindi you will do a community walk visiting the Batwa Pygmy for cultural experience in the evening time. Diner and Overnight stay at Buhoma Community or Bwindi Gorilla Resort.
Day 8: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Early in the morning after breakfast at the lodge transfer to the park offices with your packed lunch for briefing about gorilla trekking and how to behave while in the presence of these apes.
After briefing a journey is started to the Jungle in a group of eight people plus park rangers and armed officers following the permanently established routes heading to the Jungle in search of these apes for interaction.
After locating these apes you will be allowed to stay in their presence for only one hour while seeing them playing with young ones, feeding, laughing plus taking photos and videos of them.
Day 9- Transfer from Bwindi to Kampala
Last day of the Safari, early in the morning after breakfast check out for the amazing journey from the amazing Bwindi Impenetrable National Park back to Kampala, lunch is provided enroute.
This journey is characterised with enroute game viewing. Our Safari guide will drop you either at hotel of residence for overnight stay or Entebbe international airport for your return flight back home. End of Uganda Safari.
