5 Day Visit to Bwindi, Lake Mburo Park & Lake Bunyonyi
This amazing excursion grants you opportunities of visiting some of Uganda’s major tourist sites including Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Lake Mburo National Park which is popularly known for its great offering of different Wildlife species plus Lake Bunyonyi which is popularly known for its exciting boat ride along its waters.
On arrival our guide will pick you from Entebbe airport and transfer up to your hotel of residence for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Very early in the morning after breakfast start the amazing journey with our guide from Kampala driving to the great Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the south western part of Uganda via Kampala- Masaka- Mbarara highway including stopover at the equator for some brief explanation about the equator, photographs, coffee and snacks.
After continue with the journey up to the Park using suitable 4×4 wheel drive Safari jeep, lunch is provided en route in Mbarara town at Agip motel.
After lunch continue with the journey and you will arrive in the evening, check in at the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay. Accommodation Options include Buhoma lodge for Luxury, Chameleon hill for Mid-range, Ruhija Gorilla Friends Camp for Budget option. Meal Plan; Lunch &Dinner.
Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking.
After breakfast at the lodge transfer to Park offices or starting point for a briefing which is usually conducted before start of the journey to highlight trekkers about how to behave while in jungle and in presence of these apes.
After different groups of eight people will be assigned to park rangers and armed officers for the Journey to the jungle following the permanently established routes in search of these apes.
After locating them you are allowed to stay in their presence for only one hour while seeing them playing with young ones, feeding, laughing plus taking photos and videos of them, after the one hour you will return to the Park offices for certificate award and then to the lodge for resting as you prepare for evening visit to Batwa communities.
Later in the evening you will have a walk visiting Batwa communities for some cultural encounters from Batwa people like traditional dances, singing and more. Meal Plan; Lunch &Dinner
Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Lake Bunyonyi.
Very early in the morning after breakfast check out for the journey to Lake Bunyonyi popularly known for the eye catching sceneries including waters, hills, forests, islands and more.
On arrival you can opt to go for a canoe along the waters of Lake Bunyonyi visiting its islands or nature walk around the area.
In the evening check in at the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay. Some of accommodation Options in Lake Bunyonyi include Arcadia Cottages, Bird nest or Bunyonyi Overland Camp.
Day 4: Transfer from Lake Bunyonyi – Lake Mburo National Park.
After your delicious breakfast served in the morning, check out at the lodge for the exciting journey to Lake Mburo National Park which is popularly known for its stunning Wildlife, this journey is characterised with en route sighting of stunning landscapes of the kigezi highlands. Lunch is usually provided along the way.
Reaching the park suburbs you will do a game drive around the Park exposing you to different Wildlife species including Wild animals like Impalas, oribi, reed bucks, bush bucks, kobs, Zebras, Elephants, Buffaloes, warthogs, topi, and more, primates, reptiles, insects and different bird species.
After game drive check in for dinner and Overnight. Accommodation Options include; Mihingo Lodge for Luxury, Rwakobo rock for Mid-range, and Rwonyo camp for Budget.
Day 5: Drive from Lake Mburo National Park back to Kampala.
Early in the morning after breakfast you will do a boat cruise along the waters of Lake Mburo exposing you to different aquatic species including crocodiles, buffaloes, hippopotamus, plus different species of water birds.
Later in the afternoon check out for the exciting journey from Lake Mburo National Park to Kampala or Entebbe which is characterised with enroute game viewing.
Our guide will either drop you at your hotel of residence in Kampala or Entebbe if you are to stay or at Entebbe airport for return flight back home. End of Safari in Uganda.
