5 Day Gorilla Trek & Golden Monkeys

This Safari will take you to the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park for a great experience, activities done include Gorilla trekking, golden monkey tracking, hike the Batwa trail and expect to have nice photos while in Uganda.

Day1: Kampala – Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Have morning breakfast and after embark the safari jeep with our safari guide and transfer to Kisoro in south western Uganda. En-route stop at the Uganda Equator is included and after have lunch in Mbarara at Agip Motel. After lunch continue to the park, dinner and overnight stay at Kisoro Traveller’s Tourist Hotel.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience.

Have breakfast and after take 30 minutes’ drive to park headquarters for the briefing about the great apes and how to behave while in their presence. After briefing you enter into the jungle looking for these gorillas.

Once you meet these gorillas you are allowed to be in their presence for only one hour while seeing them playing with young ones plus taking photos and videos of them, after return to the park offices for your gorilla trekking certificate award and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 3: Hike Batwa Trail

Have breakfast and after move again to the park offices for the Eco tourism briefing about this community trail and after participate in this full day experience understanding the historical and current lifestyle of the Batwa.

This walk will take you through the Garama cave. After return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Tracking – Lake Bunyonyi

Have morning breakfast and after go for golden monkey tracking, after the tracking have lunch and later transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Dinner and overnight stay at Bunyonyi Bird Nest Lodge, Arcadia Cottages or Bunyonyi Overland Cottages.

Day 5: Lake Bunyonyi – Drive back to Entebbe

Have morning breakfast and after embark the safari jeep for transfer back to Entebbe with en-route lunch in Mbarara, after transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your return flight back home. End of Gorilla Safari in Uganda
