8 Day Uganda Wildlife Safari

Different exciting activities done on this Safari include mountain gorilla trekking, visit the local communities to experience their ways of living, water fall hike, game drives, and boat cruise.

On arrival our Safari guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you up to your hotel of residence in Kampala for check in, relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 1: Kampala – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Have morning breakfast, check out and meet our safari guide for the exciting journey from Kampala to Bwindi impenetrable National Park, stopover at the Equator is included for explanation about it, coffee, snacks, photos and more. Another stop over is in Mbarara for lunch at Agip motel.

After continue with the Journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for check in. Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs, Buhoma Haven Lodge, or Buhoma Tented Camp.

Day 2: Exciting Gorilla Trek in Bwindi

Have early morning breakfast, after go with your packed lunch for the briefing about how to behave while in the Jungle before you take the gorilla trekking experience. Thereafter enter into the jungle to search for these shy mountain gorillas for interaction.

Meeting these apes in the Jungle, you are allowed to be in their presence for only one hour while seeing them playing, laughing, feeding and more. After gorilla trek return to Park offices for Gorilla trekking certificate award. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Waterfall Hike – Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After morning breakfast at your lodge on Buhoma side, take hike through the forest to Munyaga Waterfall. For those staying south of the park, take the 3-4 hour walk from Nkuringo all the way across the impenetrable forest to Buhoma, where your guide will meet you with your luggage.

After the Walk proceed north to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha sector route and if you are lucky, you will be able to sight the famously known tree climbing lions resting up in the fig tree branches. Dinner and overnight at Ishasha Wilderness Camp, or Njojo Safari Lodge.

Day 4: Game Drive & Boat Ride

Have morning Game drive exposing you to different Wildlife species in the Park. This experience takes 2-3 hours and thereafter return to your lodge or Mweya canteen for lunch.

Take an afternoon launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel exposing you to different aquatic species like hippopotamus, crocodiles, water birds and other wild animals which are seen along the banks including elephants, buffaloes, warthogs and more. After return to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park – drive to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, go for amazing chimp trekking in Kyambura gorge, while in the Jungle for Chimps you are exposed to other Wildlife species. After return to lodge for lunch. Later check out for the exciting journey to Lake Mburo National Park which is popularly known for wide range of different Wildlife species like Elands, Impalas, Zebras, sitatungas, African fin foot and more.

Take an evening boat ride along the eastern banks of Lake Mburo as you view water and swamp birds, crocodiles and hippos, animal salt-licks against the setting sun. Accommodation options include Mihingo Lodge, Rwakobo Lodge or Mburo Eagle’s Nest Camp.

Day 6: Lake Mburo National Park

Have morning game drive after breakfast exposing you to different Wild animals like zebras, water bucks, bush bucks, slender mongoose, buffalo, elands, warthogs, bush rat and impalas along with a great variety of birds.

After lunch at the lakeside restaurant, walk with a ranger guide across the wooden observation platforms of the salt lick area, where wildlife gather to lick the salty soil. After return to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Lake Mburo National Park – Drive back to Entebbe

Have morning breakfast and after you will take foot safari at one of Lake Mburo forest which is home to variety of floras and faunas. After return to lodge for Lunch and checking out for the drive back to Kampala with en-route stop again at the equator. Dinner and overnight at Karibu Guest House, Papyrus Guest House, or Lake Victoria Guest House.

Day 8: Entebbe – Ngamba Islands Chimpanzee Sanctuary

Early in the morning have breakfast and after transfer up to Nakiwogo in Entebbe for a visit to Ngamba island Chimpanzee sanctuary by use of speed boat, reaching Ngamba the activities done include chimpanzee feeding, care giving and more. After a visit to Ngamba on that same day return to Entebbe airport for your return flight back home.
